WoW Auction House Guide

There are dozens of different ways to make a lot of gold in World of Warcraft. One of best ways to make fast easy gold is using the Auction House. It does not matter if you are level 1 or level 70 you can use the auction house to make thousands of gold and start building your wealth in Warcraft. Learning to use the Auction House is just one of many ways to make thousands of gold but is one that every true player will benifit from. The Auction House delivers the ability for any character of any level to easily and quickly make thousands of gold without having to Grind and Quest.

On the buyer's part, there are no costs associated with using the Auction House. Your bid is automatically set higher than the existing bid by an increment of at least 5% of the current sale price. You can increase your bid if you wish. Keep in mind that the money you bid for an item is taken out of your bank the moment you bid it, not when you "win" the item. Your money will be taken and if you win by the end, the item will be mailed to you. If you are Outbid, you will be notified in your chat window, and the money you bid will be sent back to you through mail.

Some items are common and have a range of prices whilst other items are more rare, and there is none offered for sale, therefore making pricing more difficult. There are TWO primary ways of selling products in AH: either thru open ended BIDDING until time is up, or thru paying the BUYOUT amount which buys the item outright at that moment. 

To create Auctions, you will need to select the tab below where it reads "Auctions". In the top left of that panel there is a box to place your item. Drag an item you wish to sell from your bags into this box. The game will suggest a price for the initial bid - it is up to you to either modify it or leave it as it is. You may also set a BuyOut Price at this point. Once you are done, select how long the item will remain at the Auction House - the more it stays, the more the deposit will be. 

If you wish, you can also set a buyout price. This is the price at which a buyer can instantly purchase your item. If you're unsure of the price to set, try searching for listings for that item. Generally, people will pay a slight premium to get their item instantly. 

If someone buys the item you are selling you'll receive a text message. The purchase amount will be sent to your mailbox along with a receipt. Your actual payout will be lower than the sale price because of the auction house's cut - a percentage of the sale price.
