Wow Mage Leveling Guide
61Mage Leveling Made Easy
Leveling a Mage, like any class, in World of Warcraft can be a real pain in the butt if you're not really familiar with how the class works. As you can see, a good WoW Mage Leveling Guide will definitely allow for a better game experience and an increased degree of usefulness while playing, and will also assist in getting your character to Level 80 as fast as possible.
Once you have the right build for your Mage consider a full blown 1-80 Mage leveling guide for the most effective (fastest) leveling. Why? With thousands of quests and a million mobs to grind the trip to 80 can take awhile. A long while. An in-game leveling guide, like Zygor's Guide, automates the whole 1-80 path for your mage, or start from any level and use Zygor's to blast to the finish.
Pick your starting point and the guide will show you where to go and what to do. It automatically updates and advances as you complete tasks and quests, sets a waypoint arrow automatically and includes all the important quest info. You will probably never need to look at your quest log again, much less browse Thottbot.
A Brief Mage Leveling Guide
Mages are one of the slower classes to begin leveling but if you stick with it they are a lot of fun at higher levels and can dish out some serious damage.
When you decide that your class will be a Mage, you will then need to choose which Mage leveling tree you would like to use. Most Mages will lean toward either the fire tree or the frost tree. They each come with their own uses and the abilities they have work well in different situations. Either choice is perfectly valid, and is really more dependent on playstyle than anything.
Fire building is great if you want to inflict more damage and have more control of single targets. it seemed to go wrong less and was easier to learn. Frost allows you to hit multi targets with more accuracy. It can be very effective if done right but every enemy must be melee in order for it to work and you better hope one doesn't resist nova or it will screw everything up. If you are not sure which to use then you will need to try both and check out which will better fit you. However some will suggest trying to go with the fire for your lowest levels such as 1 – 30 and then re-spec to the frost. You have a chance to try them up till you get to 41 then you will need to make a permanent choice so that you can pick up the main talent at that point.
For my mage leveling guide, I stuck to mainly doing quests early on while putting points into Improved Fireball. This allowed me to get experience while maintaining good damage per second (dps). I continued putting points into the Fire tree until I got up to where I got Blast Wave.
In case of mage, the most important statistics depends on the mage's current level. At lower levels, intellect and stamina will be the most important for you since you will really rely on health points and mana at lower levels. Later you will get some defensive spell so you won't need stamina anymore so go for damage now. At this point, the most important statistics are the spell power and critical strike rating. These two will be the most important till you get level 80.
Mages can solo just fine but if you can, try to group up with a healer as much as possible - it will speed up your leveling. Another great ability that is possessed by mages is the ability to teleport, and they can do so not only on their own, but can also help entire groups to teleport. For this they need reagents, which can be obtained from any reagent vendor.
Level a Mage Fast With Zygor's Leveling Guide
Now as you probably know, not all guides are created equal. In my experience, there’s a large variation in the quality offered by the different guides. After trying them all out, the one that I have decided to stick with is Zygor's Leveling Guide. It tells you what quest to do, where to go for the objectives, the fastest way to get there, and shows you everything on my minimap. It even tells you when to go back to the questgiver to turn it in. The guide is fully updated for WotLK, and is updated regularly with each patch to make sure it works, and to ensure it's following the fastest leveling route possible.
If you want to dominate WoW and your character is a Mage, I suggest getting a detailed and comprehensive Mage Leveling Guide
